...but it was only okay to begin with. To be fair, Word Soup is a decent enough word game for a computer. Playing with the mouse would a lot easier than navigation around with the thumbsticks. The fact that you have to manually select each letter is a huge pain in the ass--it would be much simpler to just choose your starting letter and then "snake" out from that point.
There are a couple of game modes, though none of them really stand out from the rest. The interface is really hard to read, so the end result is that I just play until it tells me I've either leveled up or failed. My first impression of the game was that it seemed pretty polished compared to what I was expecting to fine in the Community Games section. After spending a little time with it, though, it gets annoying fast. The way everything has to drop into place before you can select quickly becomes tedious. People aren't paying to play the interface--just let them pick the settings they want and get into the dang game.
There aren't a ton of word games on the XBox, so at 200 points this one would've been borderline. At 400 points, though, this game is just too overpriced for the amount of fun it offers.
