Not Worth the Points

Here I Sit, Broken Hearted...

Rocket Fart is a basic jetpack game, only the jetpack is your ass and the rocket fuel is your flatulence. Pressing "A" gives you lift (at the expense of fuel) while doing nothing causes you to fall towards what I assume is the center of a volcano. Instead of fuel, you must grab any of the variety of snacks which spin across the screen: tacos, turkey legs, ice cream, donuts, and pizza. Mixed in with the fuel/food is the occasional flaming boulder, which takes away some of your flatulence. Every so often a golden taco will appear, filling you fuel gauge all the way if you can manage to grab it.

The graphics are all hand-drawn, the sound effects are "accurate" enough, and a nice classical piece serves as the backdrop for the action.  Besides the subject matter (which you can judge for yourself), the biggest problem with Rocket Fart is that it's more of an activity than a game. Once you've played it for 30 seconds, you've seen everything the game has to offer (except maybe for a golden taco). This sort of thing is fine for a Flash game on the internet, where people are looking for 3-to-4 minute diversions that they can get a smile out of and maybe forward to a friend. This usage pattern breaks down on the XBox, though, and unless a game can offer some substance there's really no point in wasting money on it. Rocket Fart just doesn't offer enough to be worth the 200 points.
