Worth the Points

Hey, look! Sparkly Colors!!!

If you can relate to that sentiment, or the followup query, "Do you like shiny things?" happens to be 'Yes' then you will probably enjoy Drift.

Drift isn't really a game, so I will not treat it as such.  There aren't obstacles or gameplay, it's just a series of abstract/ambient lighting, not unlike what you might see in the visualization panel on Winamp or Windows Media Player.  There is accompanying music if you want, but basically the choices for 'worlds' are either misty/cloudy or circle-y.

You can chill watch the background stuff fill in, or, if you're feeling ambitious, you can take the reins and drip trails of color all over the screen to make fog, dragons and a plethora of vague, amorphous figures.  Hey, you're already on the couch AND conscious, what else do you really have to do?  Flip off the lights and create your own lightsaber mood lighting or interactive rainbow screensaver. Take a moment to relax and enjoy your shiny teevee.

I imagine that if you find this game engaging for over 10 minutes you're probably high on the psychotropic substance of your choice, which probably makes this a truly enthralling, blissful journey.  So if you've got 200 MS points that are just burning a hole in your pocket (because you forgot you were smoking something and put it in there)... well, bro, like, crank up the Dead, curl up under your hemp blanket and prepare to learn the meaning of life.

It's a pretty cheap game, and if nothing else, you can leave it on as a screensaver for some vibrant visual variety.  Might as well, right?  OOOHHHH LOOK HOW SHINY IT IS!!!
