This title is not really a game; it is a loop based music tool for people who might prefer the interface of a d-pad to that of a mouse and keys. The interface is easily navigated by anyone who has ever used a similar piece of software, but like its predecessors may take some getting used to for people who are not musically inclined.
The user is offered a nominal set of loops to thread onto a song grid in hopes that something sexy might be produced by the speakers. Mix and match loops onto different squares on the grid, hit play, and off you go to throwing your very own living room rave.
This is all very well and good, but the lack of ability to integrate customized loops into your songs or do anything useful with the songs once you have created them is what really makes this title mediocre. It would distract a novice wanna-be-dj for a limited time, but once mastered would be left behind in lieu of a more advanced piece of software.
